Running Shoe Lacing Techniques

i keep looking for this on the net and think i might as well repost it LoL (ope dontt mind katie)


When most runners purchase their running shoes from a specialty running store (You are not still shopping at those big box sporting goods stores, are you?) they are already cross-laced and ready to go. Or are they? Did you know there are different ways that you can lace your shoes to make them more comfortable or to help customize your shoes for your feet? Here are some of the more common shoe lacing patterns that help combat some common shoe issues. I tried to find the brightest shoe laces on the brightest pair of shoes I own so that you could see easier.

First, let’s cover the LOOP LACING LOCK. This technique can be used in a number of different lacing patterns to insure a tight and snug fit anywhere along the eye row of your shoe, depending on where your laces seem to be slipping.

am i doing enough ?

now i am starting slowly at training – my big aim is  three good runs  a week up to 1ok and get into size 12 jeans (british) 

i have gone all healthy eating : not very much starches for tea … no processed food

(well much much less than i was – did have pizza last night)

i have also changed my drinking habits – lot less alcohol than i was (bottle of red on wed with greys anatomy & some dark chocolate, & hopefully some prosecco on a sat night)  

doing plus i am drinking water … OMG i aint having more than two or three coffees a day now that’s amazing ! 

some running – not as much a i should be doing be doing – need to be more stricter with myself

and some sit-ups & bits ‘n bobs of dvds/youtube etc (no stomach exercises sine my last child 8 years ago ???)

well his little blog has made me realise that yes i am doing some BUT NOT ENOUGH !! oops ;o)

Have just found a page via a mag on healthy and inexpensive meals … I keep making meals but the kids help themselves last nights lamb tandoori with pilla rice was fab I’ve just had it for breakfast and have two tubs in freezer for lunches for me … well if they dont eat it I might as well lol

think i need a training plan so i can tick it off


i want to run three times a week and be able to 10k – not sure if three times a week ??


can someone write me one or point me in the direction of one ??


but i have been good i have drinking more water  and feel that its doing me good and some press ups etc its all small

especailly after not doing for any stomach excercise since the birth if my child (??)

 bits but its still doing it !!
